Songwriting and Composing
RM is perhaps the BTS member most involved in creating their music. Since BTS’s debut, he has helped write and/or compose the majority of their songs – often having a hand in every track on an album. He also became a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association in 2020 and is one of very few idols to do so.
NOTE: BTS albums distribute their credits a little differently than many other K-pop albums. Instead of showing who wrote lyrics, who composed the track, and who arranged it, it’s broken down into “writers” and “producers.” I assume that “writer” means someone who helped write lyrics and “producer” means someone who composed and/or arranged the song, but I do not have any definitive answer for that.

Katherine Does K-POP
