Monsta X Member Profile: Jooheon (주헌)

Variety Show Appearances and Other Content

IMPORTANT!!! I have moved to Korea since I created this blog, and I have discovered that many videos – especially ones that are uploaded by fans with English subs – have been blocked on Korean YouTube and other websites.  So unfortunately, I cannot watch most of these videos or verify the links anymore.  This also means I cannot add as many videos as before because they simply are not available in my region.  I’m sorry if you click on something and it’s no longer there, but there’s not really any way for me to check! – Katherine

Knowing Brothers
Also known as Ask Us Anything and Men on a Mission
(아는 형님)
JTBC
2020
Episode 238
A popular variety show featuring a fixed cast of well-known comedians and variety stars. It’s known for its “high school” classroom setting and promoted use of informal language.  Celebrity guests come as “transfer students” and tell stories about themselves to get to know the cast better.  Sometimes there are also other segments that feature missions or games.

Jooheon appeared with Shownu, Sunmi, and Zico.

King of Masked Singer
(미스터리 음악쇼 복면가왕)
MBC
2020
Episodes 257 and 258
A singing competition show similar to The Voice (in that you don’t initially know who’s performing). Contestants perform head to head in three elimination rounds, but their identities are hidden by elaborate masks and costumes. Thus, the panelists may only judge the winner based on his or her voice.

Jooheon appeared on the survival show for a couple episodes as a guest mentor, notably during the cover song battle.

It’s hard to find videos from the Produce series that aren’t official performance videos in South Korea (probably because of the voting scandal), so I can’t really find any clips of Jooheon. But I put a V-Live moment where Hyungwon the Monsta X members tease Jooheon about his most memorable moment (which was when he was mentoring trainees covering a SEVENTEEN song).
