Kai’s Role in SuperM: Kai introduced himself as SuperM’s main dancer, and he was also one of the members who taught Kang Hodong the choreography for “100” on Knowing Brothers’ spinoff. Since Taemin seems to be acting *slightly* more as a vocalist, I would say that Kai being the main dancer is probably accurate. I also think he might be the center (if the group even has a designated one), but it’s pretty hard to tell. He also seems to be going in between singing and “light” rapping, which I find interesting because he hasn’t really been a rapper in EXO for a while now.

Important Things to Know: Kai debuted in 2012 with EXO and is probably one of the group’s most popular members. (I say that based on the amount of screaming I heard when I went to an EXO concert.) His specialty is dance, and he is considered one of the best idol dancers both from the 3rd generation and of all time. Out of all the members of SuperM, Kai probably has the most varied amount of individual activities that aren’t related to music – although he is slated to debut as a soloist soon. He is heavily involved in fashion and modeling, frequently doing photoshoots for various magazines. And he has caught the eye of the Western fashion world several times, notably when he attended a Gucci fashion show – he is now a global ambassador for their eyewear line. He is also an actor, starring in two web dramas in 2016 and landing his first lead TV drama role in 2017.
