Ten’s Role in SuperM: To be honest, I’m sure what Ten’s role really is. While other members mentioned something that could be considered a position on Knowing Brothers, he just kind of made a joke about his name. And when I look at SuperM’s singles so far, I can’t really find a definitive answer. Sometimes he sings and sometimes he raps, but there are generally other members who have both positions handled. (His high notes in “Super One” indicate that he’s probably supposed to be a lead vocalist, but I think it depends on the song.) He does have some center parts, but not enough to be (traditionally) considered a main dancer – unless we’re talking about the kind of main dancer that only comes out for the really high impact moments. My best guess is that he’s being used as a floater and kind of fills in spots that are needed… so I think that whoever’s in charge needs to give him more to do.

Important Things to Know: Ten is SM Entertainment’s first Thai idol. Like Taeyong and Mark, he was a well-known member of SM Rookies and debuted with NCT U in 2016. After that, he generally did individual activities for the next few years – mostly a couple of SM Station songs and some variety shows. In 2019, he re-debuted with WayV and has been concentrating on promotions with them. Although he has does rapping and singing in the past depending on his NCT unit, he is currently more focused on vocalists given WayV’s rap heavy lineup. And although he doesn’t always have a lot of opportunities to show his dancing, his main dancer title is definitely well-deserved. Another interesting thing about Ten is that he is one of the most multilingual members of NCT (perhaps the most). Besides his native Thai, he speaks several other languages depending on his promotions: Korean (NCT and SuperM), Mandarin Chinese (WayV), or English (SuperM). So, he can speak at least four languages comfortably.
