Lucas’s Role in SuperM: Lucas said that he is the “main visual” of SuperM. I feel like this was supposed to be a joke – or at least he was half-joking – but it’s also kind of true. Based on SuperM’s performances so far, his distribution does seem pretty consistent with that of a visual: smaller parts but with bigger impact. He also tends to rap more than he sings, but has fewer parts than Mark or Taeyong.

Important Things to Know: Lucas is part of NCT, but he didn’t debut in 2016 like the majority of the members did. Instead, he was introduced as part of the second NCT U lineup during the large scale NCT 2018 project. (He also appeared in the music video for Ten’s solo song “Dream in a Dream” prior to that.) He gained a lot of attention at his debut, and quickly became one of NCT’s most popular members thanks to his good looks and sharp variety sense. He appeared on a lot of variety shows throughout 2018 and even joined the cast of a popular Chinese variety show (which is considered to be the Chinese equivalent of popular Korean show Running Man). In 2019, he became part of WayV along with Ten.
