Mark’s Role in SuperM: Mark’s position is fairly straightforward; like he said, he’s the main rapper. He *might* also be the face of the group – at least to the American fanbase – but it’s hard to tell because most of the people involved in SuperM are probably the most famous and popular members of their original groups anyway.
Important Things to Know: There is a running joke in the NCT fandom that Mark is NCT’s busiest member, because at one point he was involved in all three (Korean-based) subunits. Starting with SM Rookies in 2013, he debuted in NCT U in 2016 and was part of their two major singles. He also is a member of NCT 127, and he was part of NCT Dream before he “graduated” in 2018. (NCT Dream was originally supposed to be for teenage members, so the idea was to leave the group once they became adults in Korean age. SM changed their tune because the original lineup is super popular, so Mark is expected to return to NCT Dream at some point in the near future.) As one of NCT’s most recognizable members, Mark has had a lot of individual activities such as song collaborations and variety show appearances.
