This is a list of other achievements that TWICE has had outside of Gaon Chart. The majority of them come from U.S. based magazines and websites (Billboard, YouTube, Tumblr, Spotify, etc.) because this is what I’m familiar with as an American K-pop fan. But I’d also like to point out that TWICE is incredibly popular across the globe and has had plenty other accomplishments in many other countries!
2016
- TWICE ranked #14 on Tumblr’s 2016 list of Top K-pop Groups.
2017
- TWICE was #18 on Billboard‘s list of “21 Under 21.”
- TWICE became the first K-pop girl group to simultaneously top two of Billboard’s world charts: Twicetagram placed #1 on the World Albums chart, and “Likey” placed #1 on the World Digital Songs Sales chart. They are the second K-pop group to do this after BTS.
- “Knock Knock” and “Signal” were the #1 and #2 most watched music videos in Korea on YouTube for 2017. They placed #4 and #6 respectively on the list for global Youtube views.
- TWICE ranked #9 on Tumblr’s 2017 list of Top K-pop Groups.
2018
- TWICE was one of six groups mentioned in TIME‘s list of Best K-Pop Artists.
- “What is Love?” and “Dance the Night Away” were the #4 and #7 most watched music videos in Korea on YouTube for 2018. They placed #7 and #10 respectively on the list for global Youtube views (and “Heart Shaker” was #6).
- From what I can tell by reading the Soompi articles, I think “Heart Shaker” is not on the Korea list because it wasn’t released in 2018. But it’s on the global one because it counts music videos from November 2017 to November 2018.
- TWICE ranked #11 on Tumblr’s 2018 list of Top K-pop Groups.
- Momo also ranked #46 on Tumblr’s 2018 list of Top K-pop Stars – she was the only female idol on the list.
- TWICE placed #33 on Billboard‘s Social 50 Year End Chart.
2019
- TWICE ranked #11 on Tumblr’s 2019 list of Top K-pop Groups.
- Most TWICE members also placed on Tumblr’s 2019 list of Top K-pop Stars (which was expanded to 100 places this year): Momo was #61, Sana was #72, Mina was #83, Nayeon was #84, Jihyo was #88, Tzuyu was #89, Chaeyoung was #90, and Dahyun was #100.
- Though Jeongyeon was the only member not in the Top 100, I think it’s safe to say her official ranking wasn’t that far behind (based on the placements of most of the other members).
- TWICE placed #3 on Spotify’s Top K-pop Artists of 2019.
- TWICE placed on the following Billboard Year End Charts of 2019:
- #10 on the World Digital Song Sales Artists Chart
- #16 on the Social 50 Chart
- “Fancy” was the #3 most watched music video in Korea on YouTube for 2019.
- Bugs Music named “Fancy” and “Yes or Yes” as the #5 and #6 Most Loved Music Videos on their 2019 Year End List.
- “Fancy” and “Yes or Yes” placed #32 and #46 respectively on Genie Music’s Top Songs of 2019.
2020
- TWICE was selected for Forbes‘s 30 Under 30 Asia List.
- TWICE won “Best in Music” at the 12th annual Shorty Awards, which focuses on social media content.
- TWICE made their debut on the Billboard 200 Chart with More & More (at #200).
- “I Can’t Stop Me” topped Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales Chart.
