Wanna One Member Profiles: Hyung Line

IMPORTANT NOTE! Now that Wanna One has disbanded, I’m going to do minimal updates for each of the members – mostly just their (or their group’s) latest music video or a big acting project or something like that. Also, since I have moved to Korea, I have discovered that many videos – especially ones uploaded by fans with English subs – have been blocked on Korean YouTube and other websites.  So unfortunately, I cannot watch most of these videos or verify the links anymore.  I’m sorry if you click on something and it’s no longer there, but there’s not really any way for me to check! – Katherine

To my knowledge, Wanna One never officially announced their exact roles and positions within the team.  Therefore, what I’ve written here is mostly educated guesses on my part after watching them on Produce 101 and analyzing their performances.

JISUNG (지성)

Real Name: Yoon Jisung (윤지성)
Birthday: March 8, 1991
Zodiac Sign: Pisces (Western), Ram (Eastern)
From: Wonju, Gangwon-do, South Korea
Agency: LM Entertainment (though he was represented by MMO Entertainment during Produce 101 and while he was a member of Wanna One) / Though his former labelmate Kang Daniel is no longer with LM Entertainment, I’m not sure what Jisung’s status is since he’s currently fulfilling his military service.

Claim to Fame on the Show: Iconic facial expressions and hand gestures (and just being hilarious/extra in general).  The other contestants also voted him Most Popular Trainee.

Post-disbandment:

Jisung made his solo debut on February 20, 2019 with his single “In the Rain.” He also released a special album in April 2019 and performed in the musical The Days before starting his military service in May 2019. While fulfilling his service, he has acted in the army musical Return: The Promise of the Day and participated in a new army song – both with many other idols from other boy groups.

A variety show with a fixed cast and celebrity guests. The players are split into two teams, playing games to win clues and find out who is holding the Master Key.
